First Linden Prize Awarded to Virtual Ability and Studio Wikitecture![]() Photo by VERDE OTAARED Linden Lab®, creator of the virtual world Second Life®, created the Linden Prize as an initiative to honor Second Life projects that have an important impact on the real world. LL received 230 applications from all over the world and the voting committee decided that there should be two winners: Virtual Ability and Studio Wikitecture. Both will be awarded $10,000 USD for their efforts, marking the largest prize ever given in the virtual world industry to an individual or organization, according to the Second Life community features blog. The work of both winners show how individuals and organizations are using Second Life to improve the overall human condition, something Linden Lab has been fighting for and defending since day one.
